My Greek Island Tips

These are just a few of the best islands in Greece for solo travellers and I hope this post will give you some inspiration for your future travels. With so many different islands to choose from, you're sure to find the perfect one for your next trip. But before I say goodbye...Here are some additional tips for solo travellers planning a trip to Greece:

  • Book your flights and accommodation in advance. This is especially important during the peak season (June-August).

  • Consider visiting Greece during the shoulder seasons (May-June and September-October), when the weather is still warm and sunny, but the crowds are smaller.

  • Be aware of the local customs and etiquette; This includes dressing modestly when visiting religious sites, and not taking photos of people without their permission.

  • Pack accordingly, as the weather in Greece can be hot and humid in the summer.

  • Greece is a very social country, and people are generally very friendly and welcoming. Be prepared to make new friends and have a great time!

With a little planning, you can have a safe and enjoyable solo trip to Greece. Check out also the Bitesize Greek episodes of the Podcast and use some Greek words and phrases during your trip.
